Vocational Rehabilitation

Vocational Rehabilitation AssociationThese services are available to solicitors or insurance companies, and seek to assist Personal Injury claimants toward a return to the labour market. An initial Vocational Rehabilitation Report, is commonly followed by progress reports as rehabilitation develops.

The principal stages are usually:

  • Assess need (this would involve one or more meeting with the Pursuer).
  • Prepare an Action Plan to assist in moving toward a return to the labour market.
  • On-going support in terms of implementation of the Action Plan.
  • Introduction to other agencies and support mechanisms as appropriate.
  • Support whilst in employment, education or training, as required for up to one year.

Job Search and Support

This is very flexible, depending on the needs of the individual, but typical support may include:

  • Interview techniques and preparation.
  • CV preparation.
  • Identifying sources of vacancies, and suitable vacancies therein.
  • General support in applications
  • Support once in work (or study), if required.
  • Redundancy counselling.
